Must Keep Moving: September 21, 2008 - For my Facebook friends

One of my dearest friends suggested that I update Facebook at the same time I update my blog. He thinks that I might inspire others . Anyhoo, this is a test message to see if I can get the feature to work!

About

It all started in 2008 when I decided that at 37 I should be able to walk a half marathon. I knew that I needed help to accomplish my goal. That day, I picked up the phone and called a local weight loss clinic for help. Since that day, I have acquired professionals and supporters that hold me accountable for my actions.

Over the past couple years this blog has undergone several versions. I started out gathering donations for my first half marathon, tracked my original weight loss, and documented amusing stories of my take on healthy lifestyle activities.

This blog continues to document what I am learning about the world and myself. Most importantly, it documents the humorous and not so humorous adventures in my efforts to become physically, mentally, and spiritually healthy.

Currently, I am learning to racewalk, attending fitness classes, seeing a Personal Trainer, seeking to control my moodiness, and continuing to try to lose weight. For a complete listing of the items discussed on this blog refer to the topics page.
